Trisha is originally from Southern California but her many adventures have sent her all over the country. In 2009 she moved to Colorado for school and stayed until a year after graduation where she then moved to Hawaii! Why Hawaii one might ask? Because it sounded like a fun adventure. In Hawaii Trisha met her husband and soon moved to our lovely state of Connecticut! Trisha holds a passion for the human services field as her walk-in life has been an interesting one. She is passionate about her work and proving you can always make a change even if no one is in your corner. She thanks her Grandmother Lola for her accomplishments and lives life by a quote she was told when struggling to see how to continue, “do what they say can't be done, and then do it again because you can. “
Trisha graduated from Johnson & Wales University (Denver) in 2012 with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice. After graduation, she was offered a job at Excelsior Youth Treatment Center where her passion for working with youth really flourished. Trisha has been working in the special needs and at risk youth field since she was 16. Her experience began in high school when one of her best friends suffered from a brain aneurysm and needed assistance once returning to school a year later. She has worked in a variety of settings ranging from in school mentor, after school care with elementary age children, treatment center for girls with behavioral struggles and ASD services in school and home.
As the Program Coordinator at Creative Potential. Trisha’s responsibilities are a sort of all encompassing. She works with training new hires, tracking incoming referrals, case set up monitoring services, payroll, after school program and a host of other administrative duties with our Administrative Assistant Meghan.
